South American Junior Football Championship 1964

The III. 1964 Junior Soccer South American Championship took place in Colombia from January 12, 1964 to February 2, 1964 .

The matches to determine the tournament winner of the event, also known as Juventud de América , were held in the cities of Cali , Barranquilla , Bogotá and Medellín . For the first time in the history of the tournament, several venues were used for the championship. The national teams of Argentina , Chile , Colombia , Paraguay , Peru , Uruguay and Venezuela took part in the tournament.

The game was played in group mode in a group of seven. Uruguay emerged victorious from the event . This gave the small country from the Río de la Plata its third victory in a row. Places two to four went to the national teams from Paraguay, Colombia and Chile.

The top scorer of the tournament was the Chilean Jaime Bravo with five goals scored.
