Career

In 1964, Paz was part of the youth team at Club Atlético Peñarol . He played for the Racing Club de Montevideo in 1967 .

National team

Paz was a member of the Uruguayan U-20 national team . He was in the squad that took part in the 1964 Junior South American Championship in Colombia . The team became South American champions. During the tournament he was used by coach Juan Carlos Ranzone six times (no goal). He was also a member of the Uruguayan senior team . He was part of the Uruguayan squad at the South American Championship in 1967 , in which the Celeste, supervised by Juan Carlos Corazzo , won the title. During the tournament he was used twice. These were the meetings on January 29, 1967 against Paraguay and on February 2, 1967 against Argentina. He didn't score a goal. In addition, another international match (no goal) was played against England on June 8, 1969.
