Rubén Techera , full name: Rubén Héctor Techera González , (born December 12, 1946 in Montevideo ) is a former Uruguayan football player .

Midfielder Techera was part of the Rampla Juniors squad in the Primera División from 1964 to 1965 . In 1964 he was Uruguayan runner-up with his club. He then joined Nacional from 1966 to 1969 . In 1966 and 1969 he won the championship there. In the 1970 season he was in the ranks of Club Atlético Cerro . Techeras then went abroad. Techera initially took up an engagement with José Gálvez in Peru in 1972 . This was followed by a time at Universitario de Deportes from 1972 to 1975 . There he reached the finals for the Copa Libertadores with his club in 1972 . However, the Peruvians failed at the Argentine representative CA Independiente . In 1974 he was able to celebrate winning the national championship with his team. From 1975 to 1976 and 1977 to 1978, his employers were Atlante and Unión de Curtidores (23 games, two goals), both of whom played in the Primera División Mexico.

National team

Techera took part with Uruguay's selection in the 1964 South American Junior Football Championship in Colombia , where they won the title. During the tournament he was used four times (one goal) by coach Juan Carlos Ranzone . Techera was also a member of Uruguay's senior team , for which he played five international matches between January 4, 1967 and July 2, 1969. He did not score an international goal. Techera was part of the Uruguayan squad at the South American Championship in 1967 , which the Celeste decided in their favor.
