1995 U-20 South American Football Championship

The XVII. The 1995 U-20 South American Football Championship took place in Bolivia from January 10, 1995 to January 29, 1995 .

The matches to determine the tournament winner were held in the cities of La Paz , Cochabamba and Santa Cruz . The national teams of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru and Venezuela took part in the tournament. Uruguay was absent from the event as a result of a FIFA sanction resulting from the 1993 World Youth Championship in Australia.

The game was played in two groups, followed by a final phase, also in group mode. Brazil emerged victorious from the event . Places two to four went to the national teams from Argentina , Chile and Ecuador . As a result, Brazil, Argentina and Chile also qualified for the subsequent Junior World Cup in 1995 in Qatar .

The top scorer of the tournament was the Argentine Leonardo Biagini with four goals.
