Junior South American Football Championship 1967

The IV. Junior South American Football Championship 1967 took place from May 3, 1967 to May 29, 1967 in Paraguay .

The matches to determine the tournament winner of the event, also known as Juventud de América , were held in Asunción . The national teams of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela took part in the tournament.

The game was played in two groups of four (group A) or five (group B) teams and a subsequent, knockout phase with two semi-finals and one final. First of all, the two second place in Group A, Argentina and Colombia, played the fourth semi-final participant. Because of a 0-0 draw in this play-off, Argentina ultimately got through by drawing lots. Argentina emerged victorious from the event . The title was also based on drawing lots, as the final against Paraguay ended in a 2-2 draw. The national teams from Paraguay , Peru and Brazil took second place and the unplayed and thus shared third place .

The squad of the winning team, coached by Juan Carlos Giménez and Mario Imbelloni , consisted of the following players:
