The 3rd FIFA Junior World Cup (officially: FIFA World Youth Championship for the Coca-Cola Cup ) took place in Australia from October 3rd to 18th, 1981 . The team from the Federal Republic of Germany was able to secure the world championship with a 4-0 victory against the team from Qatar.

The Romanian Romulus Gabor was chosen as the best player of the tournament , Mark Koussas from Australia was the top scorer .
