Ronaldão , real name Ronaldo Rodrigues de Jesus and initially known as Ronaldo (born June 19, 1965 in São Paulo ), is a former Brazilian football player who was active as a defender . He also played in the Brazilian national soccer team , with which he became world champion in 1994.

He began his career at the Brazilian soccer club São Paulo FC , where he played for seven years, from 1986 to 1993. He participated in 85 games and scored four goals. His next stop was at the Japanese football club Shimizu S-Pulse for a season from 1994 to 1995, he played 46 games and scored three goals. In the 1995 to 1996 season he went back to Brazil, where he played 44 matches for the Flamengo Rio de Janeiro club and scored one goal. In 1997 he signed a contract with FC Santos , after 38 games and two goals he left this again in the same year. A year later he went to the club Coritiba FC , but did not take part in any game. A year later he signed a contract with his last club, where he made 88 games but did not score a goal. In 2002 he ended his career.

From 1991 to 1995 he played 14 games in the Brazilian national soccer team , where he scored two goals.
