Copa Libertadores 1992

The 1992 Copa Libertadores was the 33rd edition of the most important South American football competition for club teams. 21 teams took part. The national champions of the CONMEBOL countries and the runners-up took part. Defending champion CSD Colo-Colo completed the field of participants . The tournament began on February 18 and ended on June 17, 1992 with the final second leg. The Brazilian representative FC São Paulo won the final against Newell's Old Boys and thus the Copa Libertadores for the first time .
