Copa Libertadores 1969

The 1969 Copa Libertadores was the 10th edition of the most important South American football competition for club teams. 17 teams took part. The national champions of the CONMEBOL countries and the second took part, or the winners and finalists of the cup competition in Bolivia, as no national championships have been held there yet. Brazil didn't take part, Argentina only sent defending champions Estudiantes de La Plata. The tournament began on February 23 and ended on May 22, 1969 with the final second leg. The Argentine representative Estudiantes de La Plata won the final against Nacional Montevideo and was able to defend his title from the previous year.
