The Copa Libertadores 1975 was the 16th edition of the most important South American football competition for club teams. 21 teams took part. The national champions of the CONMEBOL countries and the second took part, or the winner and finalist of the cup competition in Bolivia, as no national championship has yet been held there. The field of participants was completed by defending champion CA Independiente. The tournament began on February 16 and ended on June 29, 1975 with the final playoff. The Argentine representative CA Independiente won the final against Unión Española and was able to defend his title from the previous year and win the Copa Libertadores for the sixth time.
