Edison Pérez Núñez (born April 14, 1936 ) is a former Peruvian football referee .

In 1974 he was one of the 30 international referees appointed by FIFA for the World Cup in Germany . In this tournament he was used during a game when he was leading the goalless group stage match between Sweden and Bulgaria on June 15 in Düsseldorf . He also assisted the Brazilian Armando Marques and the Egyptian Mahmoud Mustafa Kamel as linesman . A few years later, CONMEBOL also considered him in South America for major national team competitions. He was in charge of two group matches at the 1979 Copa America (including in front of 130,000 spectators at the Estádio do Maracanã ) and four years later whistled the second leg of the 1983 Copa America final .

Pérez Núñez was active in the Peruvian Primera División until 1986 . In addition, between 1970 and 1986 he whistled a total of 51 games in the Copa Libertadores - the most important South American club soccer competition. He was used in five finals over the years and holds the record together with his compatriot César Orozco and the Uruguayan Jorge Larrionda .
