Copa Libertadores 1980

The 1980 Copa Libertadores was the 21st edition of the most important South American football competition for club teams. 21 teams took part. The national champions of the CONMEBOL countries and the runners-up took part. The field of participants was completed by defending champions Club Olimpia. The tournament began on February 16 and ended on August 6, 1980 with the final second leg. Uruguayan representative Nacional Montevideo won the final against SC Internacional and won the Copa Libertadores for the second time .
