history
The Club Sol de América took part a year after its establishment in the game, the 1910 newly founded second division, the Segunda División de Paraguay and rose directly because the reserve team from Club Nacional was not allowed to rise. In the two years after the rise, 1912 and 1913, the team was runner-up.
After that, it took Sol de América thirteen years to finish in the top three again, which was the case for the first time in 1926. In 1935, when the Chaco War with Bolivia ended, the team took second place behind Club Cerro Porteño . In 1940, the team was second behind Porteño, who were champions three times in a row from 1940 to 1942. In 1952, 1957, 1978, 1980 and 1981, the team was runner-up several times. In 1986 the team was finally able to break the curse and became champions for the first time. Five years later they were able to become masters again.
