The Club General Díaz is a Paraguayan football club from the city of Luque . The city with around 220,000 inhabitants is located on the outskirts of the capital Asunción and is also the seat of the South American football association CONMEBOL .

Along with Club Olimpia , Club Guaraní , Club Libertad and Club Nacional, it is one of the clubs that initiated the Liga Paraguaya de Football Association in 1906 , from which today's national football association, the Asociación Paraguaya de Fútbol, developed.
