Craig Charles Glendinning Henderson (born June 24, 1987 in Lower Hutt ) is a New Zealand soccer player.
Club career
Henderson twice won the New Zealand Youth Championship and came in the 2004/05 season as a player from Team Wellington in the New Zealand Football Championship used several times before to study in which he in 2006 the United States went where he for the local football team of Dartmouth College played . In 2008 he was honored as the best player in the Ivy League and in 2009 he was the captain of his college team. With the end of his college career after four years, he moved to the Swedish first division promoted Mjällby AIF in early 2010 . In the pre-season, Henderson suffered a cruciate ligament rupture and is out for several months.
National team
Henderson went through all of New Zealand's youth national teams. With the U-20 selection , he took part in the Junior World Championships in Canada in 2007 and formed the striker there in the first two games together with Jeremy Brockie . 2008 was part of the line-up for the Olympic soccer tournament in China; Henderson was used in all three preliminary round games in the right midfield, but retired with his team as in the U-20 World Cup a year earlier in the group stage.
The offensive player was appointed to the senior squad for the first time by national coach Ricki Herbert in February 2010 for an upcoming friendly against Mexico , but had to cancel due to his cruciate ligament rupture during training at Mjällby.
