Club Bolívar is a Bolivian football club from La Paz . Like the rest of the country, it is named after the general of the South American Wars of Independence, Simón Bolívar . The association was founded on April 12, 1925. The jerseys are sky blue in color.
Stadion
The club's stadium is also named after the Libertador : Estadio Simón Bolívar (15,000 seats). It was inaugurated in the 1970s. In the meantime, however, it has significant shortcomings, especially in the grandstand area, which is why the Estadio Hernando Siles , which can seat 45,000 spectators, has been avoided.
successes
The club won over twenty national titles, most recently the Bolivian championship in 2005. Internationally, over twenty participations in the Copa Libertadores and the Copa Sudamericana have been reported. In 2004 Bolívar achieved the greatest success and advanced to the final of the Sudamericana , but lost 2-0 after a 1-0 in the first leg in the second leg in Buenos Aires against Boca Juniors .
