Robert Gugutzer

Robert Gugutzer (* 1967 ) is a German sports sociologist and professor at the University of Frankfurt am Main .

Career

Gugutzer studied sociology, psychology and political science in Tübingen and Munich from 1989 to 1995 and then worked as a research assistant in the Munich project group for social research. He received his doctorate in 2001 as part of a doctoral scholarship in the DFG graduate college "Identity Research " at the University of Halle-Wittenberg . He also completed further training as a systemic individual, couple and family therapist. Since 2009 he has been a professor for “Social Sciences in Sports” at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main . His habilitation took place in 2011 at the University of Augsburg .
