Holger Anthes (born August 9, 1962 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a former German soccer player and today's soccer coach .

Player career

The attacking player from Neu-Isenburg in Hesse began his sporting career with Spvgg. 03 Neu-Isenburg and then moved to FSV Frankfurt . As a 19-year-old he joined Eintracht Frankfurt , for which he played 15 Bundesliga games and scored four goals.

With the U-18 national team he was European champion in 1981 , where he scored the decisive 1-0 in the final against Poland. In the same year he became world champion with the German U-20 national team in Australia alongside other players such as Rüdiger Vollborn , Roland Wohlfarth and Michael Zorc .

Holger Anthes ended his career as a professional soccer player in 1984, but then played as an amateur in Frankfurt-Höchst, Dreieichenhain and Wallau for some time.

Coaching career

From the 1987/88 season, he started as a player-coach at TV Wallau in the coaching business. Since then he has trained various amateur clubs in Hessen, including Rot-Weiß Walldorf for a longer period of time .
