The 2021 U-17 World Cup will take place in Peru . This is the 19th edition of the FIFA U-17 World Cup , the biennial international men's youth football championship in which the 24 qualified U-17 national teams of FIFA's member associations take part.

Choice of host

Peru was announced as the host after the FIFA Council meeting in Shanghai on October 24, 2019 . Peru was also one of the bidders to host the 2021 FIFA U-20 World Cup , which was awarded to Indonesia on the same day . Peru previously hosted the tournament in 2005. They initially received the hosting rights from the previous edition in 2019, but these were revoked by FIFA in February 2019 after their facilities were reviewed.

In addition to the automatically qualified host Peru, 23 other teams from all six continental associations will qualify for the final round of the U-17 World Cup in 2021. The U-16 and U-17 continental championships serve as qualifications.
