The Uruguayan U-17 national soccer team is a national team of Uruguayan soccer players . It is subject to the Asociación Uruguaya de Fútbol and represents it internationally at U-17 level , for example in friendly matches against the national teams of other national associations, at U-17 South American Championships and U-17 World Championships .
The team became runner-up in 2011 after losing to Mexico in the final . In 1999 , 2009 and 2013 she was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the World Cup.
She was also runner-up in South America three times ( 1991 , 2005 and 2011 ) and third place ( 1995 , 1999 and 2009 ) at South American Championships three times .
