The Colombian U-17 national soccer team is a selection team of Colombian soccer players . It is subject to the Federación Colombiana de Fútbol and represents it internationally at the U-17 level , for example in friendly matches against the national teams of other national associations, at the U-17 South American Championship and the U-17 World Cup .
The team became South American champions in their own country in 1993 and vice-South American champions in 2007 . In 1988 and 2003 she took third place.
Her best result at a World Cup was in Finland in 2003 . After a semi-final defeat against eventual world champions Brazil and a defeat against Argentina , she finished fourth. In 2007 the team was eliminated in the round of 16 and in 2009 in the quarter-finals.
