The Federación Colombiana de Fútbol , FCF or Cólfutbol stands for the Colombian Football Association .

Colombia's first football association was founded in 1924 with the name Liga de Fútbol (Football League) and was incorporated into FIFA and the South American Football Confederation Conmebol in 1936 under the name Asociación Colombiana de Fútbol (Adefútbol) .

The Colombian Football Association was excluded from FIFA after employing Argentinian players without passports in the Colombian league from 1951 to 1954 - the phase of the so-called El Dorado , when numerous foreign stars helped Colombian club football flourish. After grievances and quarrels in the Adefútbol, the association was re-established as Federación de Fútbol de Colombia in 1964 under the leadership of Alfonso Senior Quevedo - who was one of the main players in El Dorado as president of CD Los Millonarios . This was finally recognized by FIFA under the changed name Federación Colombiana de Fútbol in 1971 and is still the official name for the Colombian Football Association today.

In 2006, Luis Bedoya, previously president of the league association División Mayor del Fútbol Colombiano , also known as Dimayor for short, became association chairman.
