The Federación Peruana de Fútbol (FPF) is the football association of Peru . It was founded on August 23, 1922 and has been a member of the world association FIFA since 1924 and of the South American association Conmebol since 1925 . The FPF is subordinate to the state organization Instituto Peruano del Deporte . The association is responsible for the Peruvian national soccer team and the women's national team as well as futsal . He is also the host of national club competitions.

history

On February 27, 1912, the Peruana de Fútbol League was constituted with clubs from the capital Lima and the port city of Callao located in front of this . This hosted the Campeonato Peruano championship until 1921 . As a result of disputes within the league, the current association was founded in 1922, which in 1926 revived the championship competition. In 1951 the championship was professionalized. Participation in this has been open to associations from all over the country since 1965.
