The 2013 U-17 South American Football Championship took place in Argentina from April 2, 2013 to April 28, 2013 .

The four top-ranked teams after the tournament qualified for the U-17 World Cup in 2013 in the United Arab Emirates .

The matches to determine the tournament winner were held in the cities of San Luis and Mendoza . The game was played in two groups of five, followed by a final phase with six teams, also in group mode. The national teams of Argentina , Bolivia , Brazil , Chile , Ecuador , Colombia , Paraguay , Peru , Uruguay and Venezuela took part in the tournament. The U-17 of Argentina emerged from the event as the winner. Places two to four went to the national teams from Venezuela, Brazil and Uruguay. The top scorer of the tournament was the Uruguayan Franco Acosta with eight goals scored .
