Christoph 60 is a rescue helicopter of the DRF Luftrettung stationed at the SRH Central Clinic Suhl .
history
The air rescue center was put into operation on May 1, 1993 at the SRH Central Clinic Suhl and was looked after by Heli-Flight until December 31, 1993. A Robinson R22 was used , which as an emergency doctor helicopter (NEH) was manned by only one pilot and the emergency doctor. On August 3, 1993, the "Freie Wort" (FW) reported that a rescue helicopter (RTH) would soon be stationed in Suhl instead of the emergency doctor's helicopter (NEH).
On January 1, 1994, the German Air Rescue Service (DRF) took over the operation of the air rescue center and operated it from then on, in cooperation with the local DRK district association and the Suhl Clinic. A rescue helicopter of the type BO 105 CBS was stationed . The BO 105 CBS was replaced on August 26, 2004 by a more powerful Eurocopter EC 135 . This type of helicopter still flies to their missions from the location of the modern DRF air rescue center from the SRH Central Clinic Suhl.
