history

On September 15, 1980, a Bölkow Bo 105 was put into service for air rescue in the Allgäu. On February 23, 2007 the Bo 105 was replaced by a Eurocopter EC 135 T2i. In 2018 the Eurocopter EC135 was replaced by an aircraft of the Airbus Helicopters H135 model. The new pattern is equipped with a rescue winch. In the previous model, on the other hand, there was only one device for rope collection.

Incidents

  • 1985: On January 5, 1985, after a whiteout , the main rotor of the D-HDAX hit the ground at the middle station of the Mittagberg , the crew remained uninjured. The heavily damaged helicopter was flown into the valley as an external load under an Aérospatiale SA 330 Puma and transported to Oberschleißheim for repairs on a waiting low-loader.
  • 1995: On February 10, 1995, D-HDPB crashed near Hittisau in the Bregenzerwald ( 47 ° 27 ′ 0 ″  N , 10 ° 4 ′ 0 ″  E ) after colliding with the ropes of a material ropeway; the pilot was killed. The emergency doctor and the paramedic were saved seriously injured.
