Christoph 28 is a rescue helicopter of the ADAC air rescue stationed at the Fulda Clinic .

history

The air rescue center was put into operation on April 3, 1984 at the Fulda Clinic and has been looked after by ADAC air rescue since then . Until 2007 , the air rescue center was housed in an adjoining building at the clinic, together with the emergency doctor vehicle . A BO 105 CBS was used , which was replaced on August 14, 2002 by a Eurocopter EC 135 P1.

In 2007 the new air rescue center was built directly at the Fulda Clinic. The Eurocopter EC 135 P1 with the registration D-HOEM was replaced on January 17, 2014 by a Eurocopter EC 135 P2 + with the registration D-HXAB.

Rescue center

Around 1300 missions per year are currently flown from the Fulda Clinic within a radius of approx. 50 km. Christoph 28 is alerted in the districts of Fulda , Hersfeld-Rotenburg , Vogelsberg , Schwalm-Eder , Main-Kinzig , Wartburgkreis , Schmalkalden-Meiningen , Rhön-Grabfeld and Bad Kissingen , Wetteraukreis and in the city of Fulda . In 2013 the helicopter flew the 30,000. Commitment. The team consists of three pilots, paramedics from the DRK district association in Fulda and doctors from the Fulda Clinic.
