Christoph Halle is currently one of 16 intensive care transport helicopters (ITH) in Germany, but is used for both primary missions (emergency rescue) and secondary missions ((intensive) transfer flights, so-called interhospital transports). There are a total of nine such “dual-use” helicopters in Germany.
