SAR 87

SAR 87 is the name of the Bundeswehr SAR helicopter that is stationed at Holzdorf Air Base ( Brandenburg ). The Bell UH-1D machine is part of the SAR service of the German Armed Forces ( Transport helicopter regiment 30 since 2013).

Crew and equipment

The crew of the helicopter includes two pilots (air force: formerly a pilot and an on-board technician) and an air rescue master ( emergency paramedic / paramedic ). An emergency doctor is not part of the permanent crew. The helicopter is equipped with a rescue winch and external load hook.
