history

When the station went into service in 1995, a Bell 222 helicopter was used. A year later there was a change to the MD 900 . The modern helicopter type Eurocopter EC 145 (BK 117 C-2) has been in use since 2010 . An Airbus H 145 (BK 117 D-2) has been in service since April 30, 2018 .

Rescue center

The helicopter is mainly used for intensive care transports and if other rescue helicopters are unavailable, the nearest helicopter is alerted for emergency operations. The helicopter flew 951 missions in 2018. The pilots are provided by the DRF Luftrettung . The area of ​​operation mainly includes all of Lower Saxony .
