Christoph 65 is the nickname of a rescue helicopter stationed at the Dinkelsbühl-Sinbronn airfield in the Central Franconian district of Ansbach .

history

The establishment of a rescue helicopter in Dinkelsbühl had become necessary after Christoph 40 , who was intended for northern Swabia , was stationed at the Augsburg Clinic . From July 29 to September 29, 2014, an operator was advertised across Europe and in December 2014 ADAC Air Rescue was announced as the operator.

Station, use and occupation

The newly built air rescue center was inaugurated on September 2nd, 2015. The operational area of Christoph 65 covers a radius of approx. 50 to 70 kilometers around Dinkelsbühl and thus closes the supply gap in West Central Franconia and in the northern district of Donau-Ries .
