Tamer Arslan
Tamer Arslan (* 1986 in Berlin ) is a German actor of Turkish origin.
Life
Tamer Arslan comes from Berlin-Kreuzberg . However, he dropped out of school after the 11th grade before attaining the technical diploma. At the age of 18 he began to play theater as a hobby in the youth and cultural center "Schlesische 27", a social institution that looked after young people who had left school and had no career prospects. This was followed by an internship at the Berlin youth theater "Theater Strahl" as well as acting workshops in Poland and Spain . He then completed a voluntary social year . From 2006 to 2007 he gained theater experience at the Drama School in Pescara , Italy , where he lived for a year and a half. He had his first film role in the ZDF series KDD - Criminal Investigation (2007). He decided to become a professional actor. He received financial support from his mother, who was the owner of a cleaning company at the time. Together with his brother, he worked temporarily as a cleaner in his mother's company. a. in the Palais am Festungsgraben . In 2008 he began training as an actor at the Berlin Film Acting School , which he gave up after a year when he received offers for professional theater productions.
In 2009 he appeared at Ballhaus Naunynstraße in the Turkish migrant theater project Ferienlager - The 3rd Generation , directed by Lukas Langhoff . In 2009 he was a guest at the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam in Macbeth . In September 2010 he worked alongside Sesede Terziyan in the world premiere of the play Verrücktes Blut by Nurkan Erpulat and Jens Hilje as part of the Ruhrtriennale . In September 2010 he played in the Berlin premiere of the piece at Ballhaus Naunynstraße. In September 2011 he worked, again under the direction of Nurkan Erpulat, as Jeremias in a stage version of Franz Kafka's novel Das Schloss ; the premiere took place again as part of the Ruhrtriennale. In 2013 Arslan made a guest appearance with this production at the Deutsches Theater Berlin .
From the 2013/14 season Arslan was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin . He has played at the Maxim Gorki Theater so far a. a. in The Transitional Society by Volker Braun (2013), one of the three Woyzeck actors in Woyzeck III (freely based on Georg Büchner ; director: Mirko Borscht , 2014) and in Angst Eats Seele auf (2014, alongside Ruth Reinecke and Taner Şahintürk ). In the 2014/15 season he performed a. a. as Jascha in Der Kirschgarten (director: Nurkan Erpulat), in the dance theater Fallen by Sebastian Nübling and Ives Thuwis and again in Verrücktes Blut by Nurkan Erpulat and Jens Hillje.
Tamer Arslan can also be seen in several film and television productions. In 2011 he had a small role in the ZDF love comedy Liebeskuss am Bosporus . He played u. a. in the movies Westerland (Direction: Tim Staffel ; 2012) and The Palace (Direction: Anthony Maras ; 2011), for which he received the Audience Award at the Adelaide Film Festival . In the drama Westerland , Arslan played Erol. He embodied the best friend of the main male character Cem ( Burak Yiğit ), who falls in love with the drifter Jesus, and therefore withdraws more and more from Erol, which meets with incomprehension. In the television thriller Stummer Zeuge from the ARD television series Mordkommission Istanbul (2013), he took on the role of the young boxer and up-and-coming talent Nejat Günal, alongside Erol Sander . Also in 2013 he was seen as prisoner Erhan Karabey in the Frankfurt Tatort crime thriller Who Breaks the Silence .
Arslan also had episode roles a. a. in the series Großstadtrevier (2013), Der Kriminalist (2014; as security man Deniz Bonomo, the former lover of the murder victim) and Notruf Hafenkante (2014; as a homosexual Turk Murat, who tries to hide his love affair with a German).
In February 2015 he was seen in the ZDF crime series Schuld nach Ferdinand von Schirach in the episode Snow in a small supporting role. He played a prison -Beamten. In October 2015 Arslan was seen in a leading role in the ZDF crime series SOKO Cologne . He played Çem Ergün, the devout brother of the Turkish murder victim Akay. In November 2016 he was also seen in a leading role in the ZDF series Notruf Hafenkante ; He played the Turkish Mustafa Erbil, a juvenile criminal who has just been released from prison and who is suspected of wanting to join an Islamist terrorist group in Syria . In the Austrian crime series SOKO Vienna (first broadcast: February 2017) he had an episode role as the brutal smuggler Vlastimil. In the 5-part ZDF crime series Die Protokollantin (2018) with Iris Berben as the title figure, Arslan played the Berlin car workshop owner and witness Cem in an episode role .
Arslan lives in Berlin-Friedenau .
