Christoph 12 is a rescue helicopter stationed at the Ahrensbök-Siblin air rescue center .

history

The air rescue center (LRZ) was put into service on June 1, 1976 in Eutin . A Bölkow Bo 105 served as the first machine . In June 1979 the company switched to a Bell 212 because it was larger and could be equipped with a winch. While the DRK was responsible for the position of paramedics in the first few years , this was taken over by Johanniter on January 1, 1981. The 25,000th mission was flown in March 2001. In July 2007 the location was relocated from Eutin to Siblin . A Eurocopter EC 135 has been used as an aircraft since April 20, 2008 .

Rescue center

The LRZ is located on Landstrasse 184 between Siblin and Barghorst. In 2013, 1,032 sorties were flown. The pilots are provided by the Federal Police and come from the Fuhlendorf Fliegerstaffel. The paramedics and HEMS work through Johanniter Unfallhilfe. Specialists in anesthesia at the Sana Klinik Eutin work as emergency doctors.
