Christoph 13 is a rescue helicopter stationedat the Bielefeld City Clinic Rosenhöhe . The operator is the Federal Ministry of the Interior , the pilots for the machine are provided by the Fliegerstaffel Nord of the Federal Police . They fly emergency doctors of municipal hospital Bielefeld (Department of Anesthesia ) and paramedic of the professional fire Bielefeld to the approximately 1,250 annual operations.

On July 3, 1976, an orange Bölkow Bo 105 was put into service for air rescue in the Ostwestfalen-Lippe region , which was replaced in 1996 by an identical model. In August 2007 the leased Bo 105 was returned to the manufacturer and replaced by a Eurocopter EC 135 T2i . Two radial compressor turbines, each with 706 hp, accelerate the helicopter up to 250 km / h, which is 35 km / h faster than the previous model.
