Corentin Tolisso (born August 3, 1994 in Tarare ) is a French football player . The central midfielder has played in the Bundesliga at Bayern Munich since summer 2017 and is a French national player . In 2018 he became world champion at the World Cup in Russia .

Career

Club career

The 1.81 meter tall midfielder , the son of a Togolese and a French woman , began his career in 2000 at the age of six at the French club Stade Amplepuisien . In 2004 he moved to FC Pays de l'Arbresle . At the age of twelve he was signed by Olympique Lyon . He wanted to start at the club earlier, but had to take a break due to a knee injury.

Tolisso signed his first professional contract with Olympique Lyon on October 30, 2013. He made his league debut on August 10, 2013 (1st matchday) in a 4-0 home win against OGC Nice with a substitution for Arnold Mvuemba in the 91st minute . He scored his first point goal on March 9, 2014 (28th matchday) in a 2-1 win in the away game against Girondins Bordeaux with the goal to the final score in the 90th minute.

For the 2017/18 season , FC Bayern Munich signed him for the then record Bundesliga sum of 41.5 million euros with a contract that ran until June 30, 2022. He made his competitive debut for FC Bayern on August 5, 2017 in the DFL Supercup, which he won 5-4 on penalties against Borussia Dortmund . On August 18, 2017 (1st matchday), he made his debut in a 3-1 home win against Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the Bundesliga and scored his first goal with the 2-0 goal in the 18th minute. By the winter break of the 2017/18 season, Corentin Tolisso had scored five competitive goals, including three in the Champions League, for Bayern and prepared four. In the third Bundesliga game of the 2018/19 season against Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Tolisso was seriously injured in the 42nd minute of the game and tore a cruciate ligament. After he was back in the squad a few times, he made his comeback in the cup final in a 3-0 win against RB Leipzig when he came on for Javi Martínez in the 65th minute . By winning the German championship , the cup and the UEFA Champions League , he won the triple with Bayern in 2020 .

On March 16, 2017 was Tolisso coach Didier Deschamps for the first time into the line-up of the senior team appointed and debuted twelve days later, in the 0: 2 defeat to Spain .

Tolisso was in the French squad at the 2018 World Cup . In the final, the French defeated Croatia 4-2; Tolisso became world champion with his team.
