Adrian Markus Fein (born March 18, 1999 in Munich ) is a German football player who is mainly used in defensive midfield. He has spent most of his career so far with FC Bayern Munich and is the current U21 international .

Youth in Munich

Adrian Fein started playing football at the age of four in Daglfing at the local SV Helios , a Munich district club . After a year at TSV 1860 , at the age of seven he joined the youth performance center of FC Bayern Munich , where he was trained for 11 years.

After narrowly losing the final of the German A-Junior Championship in Dortmund on penalties against the host Borussia in May 2017 with the A-Juniors (U19) of FC Bayern Munich , Fein , who was mostly in the central midfield , moved on to the 2017 season / 18 in the amateur team of the record champions , but also came to the first short appearances for the professional team in the preparation for the season. Except for a few games that he missed due to injury, he was a regular in the second team, played 27 regional league games and scored one goal. As runner-up, Fein and the team were nine points behind city rivals TSV 1860 Munich and were relegated to the third division . On loan in the 2nd Bundesliga

In July 2018, Fein signed a professional contract with FC Bayern Munich that will run until 2021. After six more appearances in the Regionalliga Bayern, he was awarded to the second division SSV Jahn Regensburg in September until the end of the 2018/19 season in order to gain match practice in the professional field. In Regensburg Fein came under Achim Beierlorzer to 21 second division appearances (twelve of them in the starting line-up).

For the 2019/20 season , Fein was awarded to Hamburger SV for one year within the 2nd Bundesliga . Under the head coach Dieter Hecking he developed in the mostly played 4-3-3 immediately a regular player than six . Especially in the first half of the season Fein was able to draw attention to himself with strong performances. The kicker rated him after the 17th matchday with an average score of 2.88 behind Bielefeld's Jonathan Clauss (2.77) and Manuel Prietl (2.78) as the third best midfielder in the league. During the winter break, he extended his contract with FC Bayern until June 30, 2023. In the second half of the season, Fein's performances and those of the entire team, which had been on a direct promotion position after the first half of the season, fell sharply. The midfielder also missed 2 games due to a cheekbone fracture . At the end of the season, HSV missed promotion to 4th place as in the previous year, whereupon Fein left the club when his contract ended. He completed 31 second division games (29 times from the start) and scored one goal.

Return to FC Bayern Munich

For the season 2020/21 returned fine to Bayern Munich back and has since been the first team squad of Hansi Flick on.

National team

Fein played four times for the U18s and seven times for the U19 national team , with which he was unable to qualify for the U19 European Championship in Finland in 2018 .
