Ron-Thorben Hoffmann (born April 4, 1999 in Rostock ) is a German soccer player . He has been under contract with FC Bayern Munich since 2015 and is used as a goalkeeper in their second team , which plays in the 3rd division .

Career

Hoffmann began playing football as a youth player at the football club in his native Rostock , Hansa Rostock . From 2009 to 2013 he played for Hertha BSC before moving to the youth department of RB Leipzig .

Two years later, at the beginning of the 2015/2016 season, RB Leipzig joined the U17 team of FC Bayern Munich . In his debut season he stood for the B-Juniors in 15 games between the posts and stayed four times without conceding a goal. He played ten games for the U19s and held his first penalty in the FC Bayern jersey against Karlsruher SC .

On October 10, 2018, he made his debut for the second team in the fourth-class Regionalliga Bayern in a 2-0 away win against SV Schalding-Heining .

In May 2018 he signed a licensed player contract with the German record champions, valid from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2021.

On the 3rd matchday of the 3rd league 2019/20 , a 1: 2 defeat at Hansa Rostock, Hoffmann was in the goal of the Bayern amateurs.

National team

On November 13, 2016, Hoffmann made his debut for the German U18 team under coach Meikel Schönweitz at the age of 17 in a friendly match when he came on for Niclas Thiede in the 46th minute of the 3-2 win against the Irish U18 team .
