Timo Kern (born January 16, 1990 in Hockenheim ) is a German football player .

Career

The midfielder was trained in football in the youth department of FV 08 Hockenheim and Karlsruher SC .

Kern made his professional debut at KSC, where he was initially used in the reserve, on the sixth match day of the 2010/11 second division season . In the game against FSV Frankfurt he came on for Timo Staffeldt in the 84th minute . Otherwise, Kern, who is mainly used in the attacking midfield, continued to play in the Karlsruhe regional league team. On June 1, 2011 he signed a professional contract dated June 30, 2013 with KSC, with which he was relegated to the 3rd division in 2012 .

From summer 2013 he played for FC-Astoria Walldorf . First in the Oberliga and after the championship in the 2013/14 season , in which Kern was involved with 15 goals in 26 games, in the Regionalliga Südwest . He ran a total of 126 league games for the club and scored 39 goals.

For the 2018/19 season, Kern moved to SV Waldhof Mannheim . With the club he was able to celebrate promotion to the 3rd division and contribute 17 hits and 10 assists in 28 league games .

In the summer of 2019, FC Bayern Munich signed the midfielder for its amateur team , which had also been promoted to the third division.
