AS Yzeure

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Association Sportive Yzeurienne Football is a French football club from Yzeure , a small town immediately adjacent to Moulins in the French department of Allier (ordinal number 03). In the 2010s, the club adopted the name Moulins-Yzeure Foot 03 .

It was founded in 1938 as AS Yzeure. The club colors are green and black; the league team plays in the Stade de Bellevue , which has a capacity of around 2,500 seats.

The club's president is André Languille; the first team is currently being trained by Nicolas Dupuis (as of August 2006).

League affiliation

Yzeure has never had professional status and has therefore never played first class ( Division 1 , renamed Ligue 1 since 2002 ). In the 2013/14 season, the ASY competes in the fourth-class CFA , the country's highest amateur league.

The greatest success in the club's history so far was reaching the round of the last 32 teams in the French Cup in the 2001/02 season, in which, as a fifth division, they were defeated by Paris Saint-Germain , albeit only 0-1.
