Former water house in Pähl

The water house in Pähl , a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Weilheim-Schongau , was built around 1880. The technical equipment of the former water pumping station in the wooded Pähler Gorge is a protected architectural monument .

The pumping station served to supply the high castle Pähl with water . The single-storey brick building with a flat gable roof is built in the historicizing style with arched windows. The system with an iron water wheel was used until 1970. An electric pump was then installed.
