Georg Paula

Georg Paula (born May 23, 1955 in Pöttmes ; † March 26, 2014 ) was a German art historian and monument conservator .

Life

Georg Paula studied art history , classical archeology , folklore and medieval history at the University of Munich between 1976 and 1983 . With a dissertation about Johann Georg Dieffenbrunner (1718-1785) he was a PhD . From 1984 he worked as the main author on the 1989 Dehio volume for Bavarian Swabia together with Bruno Bushart , who took over the chapter on the city of Augsburg. At the same time, he was a volunteer at the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation and had been employed there as a research assistant since 1988.

Georg Paula died in 2014 and was buried in the north cemetery in Munich .
