Markie Post
Marjorie Armstrong Post (born November 4, 1950 in Palo Alto , California - † August 7, 2021 ) was an American actress .
Life
Post, daughter of physicist Richard Post , grew up in Walnut Creek , California. She attended Las Lomas High School and Lewis & Clark College in Portland , Oregon , from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts .
She first worked as a model, producer and editor in US game shows such as Split Second, Double Dare and Card Sharks in the late 1970s . She had first guest roles in CHiPs , The Incredible Hulk and Hart but warmly , before she got the role of bail agent Terri Michaels in the series Ein Colt for all cases in 1982 , which she played in 61 episodes until 1985. Then she played the public defender Christine Sullivan in Harry's miraculous criminal court in 152 episodes until 1992 . Between 1992 and 1995 she starred in the sitcom Kiss Me, John .
Since then she has played in various television productions such as The District - Operation in Washington , Scrubs - The Beginners and Ghost Whisperer - Voices from Beyond . Her few appearances in movies include Crazy About Mary , in which she played Cameron Diaz's mother .
Post was married twice. Her second marriage to Michael A. Ross produced two daughters. She died in August 2021 at the age of 70 after a longstanding illness of cancer .
