Arkadiusz Malarz (born June 19, 1980 in Pułtusk , Poland ) is a Polish football player who has been under contract with ŁKS Łódź since 2019 .
Club career
In the 2004/05 season he was still a regular goalkeeper for his club Amica Wronki at the time . When he started making mistakes, he was only used as number two in goal. The reason was also that the substitute goalkeeper Radosław Cierzniak was getting better. For the second half of the 2005/06 season, Malarz was under contract with Lech Posen . But only came to two league appearances. In 2006 Malarz moved abroad for the first time and signed a contract with the Greek first division club Skoda Xanthi . Here he was the undisputed number one goal. After only one season at Xanthi, he moved to the league competitor and traditional club Panathinaikos Athens . Initially it went quite well for him, but he was replaced as number one in the course of the 2007/2008 season by the Croatian Mario Galinović and left the club for the 2008/09 season in the direction of OFI Crete where he was again the goalkeeper. In 2009/10 he then played for AE Larisa . With Larisa, however, it fared similar to Panathinaikos and he was replaced by Uruguayan Sebastián Viera after poor performance . For the 2010/11 season he moved to AEL Limassol in Cyprus . He played a total of 79 games in four seasons in the Greek Superleague.
After a brief employment in Cyprus with Ethnikos Achnas and a renewed employment in Greece with Panachaiki , Malarz moved back to his Polish homeland for the 2013/14 season . He won as a regular goalkeeper with GKS Bełchatów the championship of the second-class first division and rose to the Ekstraklasa . Malarz moved to Legia Warsaw after a year in Bełchatów , where he completed 104 competitive games in four years. He won the Polish Ekstraklasa Championship three times with Legia. After Malarz's contract with Warschaz expired in summer 2019, he moved to ŁKS Łódź .
