Sebastián Viera , full name Mario Sebastián Viera Galain , (born March 7, 1983 in Florida , Uruguay) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

The 1.82 meter tall goalkeeper Viera was in 2002 in the ranks of the second division Deportivo Colonia in Juan Lacaze , but was not used in the Segunda División . From the Clausura 2003 until the mid-season 2005, he was listed as a player in the Nacional Montevideos in the Primera División . In this midseason, Nacional won the Uruguayan championship. With the "Bolsos" he stayed until the 2005/06 season, in which he is said to have been used 16 times in the top Uruguayan league. However, the sources supporting these missions also report that he moved to the Spanish first division club Villarreal in that season and completed 29 first division games by the end of the season. In the 2006/07 and 2007/08 seasons another 28 and 18 matches of the Primera División followed with his participation. In the 2008/09 season he was no longer considered in the league. He then joined the Greek club AE Larisa , for which he played another six league games in 2009/10 14 and 2010/11. In the first days of January 2011 he moved to Atlético Junior in Colombia . There he won the Clausura with the team in 2011 and the Copa Colombia in 2015 . With the Colombians so far (as of July 13, 2016) Viera came in 223 league games (one goal), nine games of the Copa Libertadores , four games of the Copa Sudamericana , 29 games of the Copa Colombia and in 2012 in two Super Cup games for use.

National team

Viera took part with the Uruguayan U-20 national team in the U-20 South American Championship in 2003 . In 2004 he benefited from an injury to Fabián Carini and was called up for the Uruguayan senior team in the 2004 Copa America squad. Viera made his debut on July 18, 2004 under national coach Jorge Fossati in the 3-1 victory in the quarter-finals of the Copa against Paraguay with a starting eleven in the national team. At the end of the tournament, he finished third with the team. Until his last appearance on June 6, 2009, he played 15 international matches, in which he had to accept a total of 16 goals.
