Amica Wronki is a Polish football club .

Club history

The association was created in 1992 from the merger of the two associations Błękitni Wronki and LZS Czarni Wromet Wróblewo . The main sponsor of the same name, Amica Wronki, is a home appliance manufacturer and provided the financial prerequisites for the club to move up from the 4th Polish league to the 1st Polish league in just four years. In 1996 the club finished its first season in the Ekstraklasa with fifth place in the table. From 1998 to 2000 Amica Wronki won the Polish Cup three times in a row.

At the European level, Amica Wronki has already played in the European Cup Winners' Cup and the UEFA Cup . Well-known opponents from European competitions who came to the small stadium near Poznań were: Hertha BSC , Atlético Madrid and Servette Geneva .

The 1st league team merged in 2006 with KS Lech Poznań , which later renamed itself to KKS Lech Poznań. Many players stayed with the club and took over the place of the 2nd team in the 3rd league for the 2006/07 season. After this season, however, the game operation was completely stopped and the club is now concentrating only on youth work.
