Arbúcies is a Catalan city in the province of Girona in northeastern Spain . It is in the comarca of Selva .
The city lies between the Montseny and Guilleries mountain ranges . The Castell de Montsoriu is located near the city .
Economy and Transport
Despite the small size of the place, Arbúcies is one of the most important and well-known locations in Catalonia (and in Spain as a whole) for the production of buses. The best known are the companies Noge , Beulas , Indcar and Ayats .
The city benefits little from the mass tourism of the places in the Mediterranean, which are only an hour's drive away. However, on weekends and public holidays, Arbúcies is often visited by Spanish tourists. The agricultural area was greatly reduced. Firs and pines, which are economically used as Christmas trees, grow on the abandoned fields.
