La Cellera de Ter is a municipality in the province of Girona , Catalonia , Spain , whose name is derived from the capital.

The town of La Cellera de Ter is located on the edge of the Les Guilleries nature park at an altitude of 166 m, about 12 km from Girona .

The Riera d'Osor , whose source is in the nature park, flows into the Ter in the municipality .

The most famous mountain in the municipality is the Puig d'Afrou with 843 m height, the 1,088 m high Sant Gregori the highest.
