Església Santa Maria de Sils
Santa Maria de Sils is a 12th century parish church. A tombstone to the right of the church door dates back to 1313. The church received its current form as a baroque building with neoclassical elements in 1759. The chapel is in the Gothic style. The door with a niche dates from 1802. An altarpiece from 1613 is documented, which no longer exists. The top of the bell tower with green ceramic dome and original wrought iron structure was designed in 1907 by the modernist architect Rafael Masó i Valentí from Girona.
Església Santa Eulàlia de Vallcanera
Santa Eulàlia de Vallcanera is a parish church from the 10th century. The church was consecrated in the name of the patroness Eulalia of Mérida in 969, when the parish was separated from that of Caldes de Malavella . Since 1245 the church was under the monastery of Sant Pere Cercada. In the 18th century the building and the church tower were completed. Remains of the Romanesque apse are hidden by the neighboring house (until 1972 rectory).
Espai Natural Protegit de l'Estany de Sils
Estany de Sils is a wetland and nature reserve. It is part of the Pla d'Espais d'Interès Natural (PEIN), a support plan for nature reserves in Catalonia and the European Natura 2000 program. Since the middle of the 19th century, work began on draining the marshland to create arable land and to combat malaria. However, a core area of the marshland was preserved and became a refuge for many rare species. In 1998 the city of Sils and Acciónatura started a program to protect and expand the nature reserve. Private adjoining areas were acquired, the water areas were reduced to year-round waters, the areas were renatured and paths and viewing points were set up that enable the site to be used without disturbing visitors.
