Fogars de la Selva is a Catalan municipality in the province of Barcelona in northeastern Spain . It is in the comarca of Selva .

geography

Fogars de la Selva is located in the province of Barcelona in the autonomous community of Catalonia approx. 40 km south of Girona and approx. 68 km northeast of Barcelona. It is the only municipality in the Comarca La Selva that is part of the province of Barcelona.

history

Previous names of the municipality were: Fogás y Ramino (1842), Fogás de Tordera (1857–1981) and Fogars de Tordera (1991).

Culture
