society
Parolo comes from the youth of Calcio Como . In 2004 he was accepted into the professional squad and completed his first full season. after this he moved to AC Pistoiese , for which he was active for two years. After two more one-year positions at Foligno Calcio and Hellas Verona , he joined AC Cesena in 2009 . This he achieved in the 2009/10 season promotion to the Serie A , where Cesena held two years and Parolo made the breakthrough in professional football. After Cesena's relegation in the 2011/12 season, he moved to FC Parma and established himself there as a regular. For the 2014/15 season , Parolo moved to league rivals Lazio .
National team
After Parolo was never used for a youth team in Italy, Cesare Prandelli nominated him for the European Championship qualifier on March 25, 2011 against Slovenia and the friendly against Ukraine on March 29. In the latter he made his first appearance for the national team when he came on for Claudio Marchisio in the 88th minute . He was nominated for the Italian squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and played in the group matches against England (2-1) and Uruguay (0-1).
At the European Football Championship in France in 2016 , he was included in the Italian squad . He was in the starting line-up in 4 games and played for the full length of the game. He was only allowed to pause in the third round game, when Italy was no longer concerned. The quarter-finals against Germany went to penalties and he had to start as the seventh shooter. He converted, but a team-mate forgave afterwards and Italy was eliminated.
In the subsequent World Cup qualification , Parolo under Gian Piero Ventura was one of the permanent staff of the Italians, including in the play-off games against Sweden in November 2017, in which the 2018 World Cup was missed. Under interim coach Luigi Di Biagio , Parolo was last in the Italian squad in March 2018, and his last international match was against England on March 27, 2018 . Since then, Parolo has not been considered for the national team.
